Aurora’s responsibility requirements for suppliers
Aurora is committed to responsible and ethical business practices. Aurora’s suppliers are expected to familiarize themselves with these guidelines and ensure compliance in their own operations and supply chains.
Good Governance, Business Principles, and Legislation
Suppliers and their subcontractors must:
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Act honestly and ethically, with a zero-tolerance policy for bribery and corruption.
- Avoid conflicts of interest and disclose them openly.
- Comply with competition laws and international trade rules.
- Adhere to sanctions and asset freeze decisions.
- Protect confidential information and exercise special care in handling personal data, and respect intellectual property rights and follow Aurora’s information security instructions.
Human Rights and Workers’ Rights
Suppliers must:
- Respect internationally recognized human rights, including the UN Declaration of Human Rights and ILO principles.
- Ensure that forced labor, child labor, and human trafficking are strictly prohibited.
- Safeguard workers’ rights to freedom of association and collective bargaining.
- Promote non-discrimination and equality, and ensure respectful and appropriate behavior in the workplace.
- Provide fair working conditions, including reasonable working hours and compensation.
- Ensure that all employees have a written agreement regarding their employment before it begins.
Occupational Health and Safety
Suppliers must:
- Comply with all applicable occupational health and safety laws and standards, as well as the guidelines and rules of Aurora’s site owner.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, including appropriate protective equipment and training.
- Identify and manage workplace risks and implement preventive measures.
- Promote employee well-being and strive to reduce absenteeism due to illness.
Environment and Climate Change
Suppliers must:
- Comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain environmental management systems.
- Reduce environmental impacts, including emissions, waste, and energy consumption.
- Promote sustainable development and the responsible use of natural resources.
Reporting:
Suppliers must immediately report to Aurora if they observe any violations of the above requirements in their own or their subcontractors’ operations:
