Aurora annually supports non-profit organizations chosen by the personnel. This year the personnel of Aurora in Kilpilahti and Tornio chose to support the Finnish Red Cross and the Espoo personnel chose to support UNICEF. All donations were directed at helping those affected by the crisis in Ukraine.
Tornio personnel also wanted to continue to support the Lapland rescue helicopter Aslak which provides rescue helicopter services to Lapland residents and tourists in its’ current form since 1998.
Aurora Kilpilahti also continued its support in the form of scholarships to Porvoo high schools Linnakosken Lukio and Borgå gymnasium. The scholarships are given for good success in math and science or alternatively to a graduate who has shown particular interest in the subject.
